With everything that has been going on with my theatre career, I realized I needed to do a catch-up post on all the wonderful film projects I have been (and will be??) working on!
Recently I was able to travel to Nashville to be a congregation member for the final episode of "The Committee," a webseries with over 100 episodes. It was a cold, fun filled day making new friends and running into familiar faces! (Laurie Ritz Charland).
*Side note: Nashville has both the shortest green lights and longest red lights I've ever encountered. How is that possible??*
Speaking of Nashville! While in Mobile, AL for Mardi Gras, an episode of "Nashville" Season 3 came on the television in our hotel room and I saw Heather Nicholas, Laurie, and myself on the TV from that one time when we were extras. It was pretty cool :)
This past weekend, Zach Williams, Heather, Edna Dinwiddie, and I all went to the open call auditions for CMT's "Million Dollar Quartet," set to film here in Memphis in the upcoming months. It was early, it was cold, and it was a blast! We got up at 6am to do our hair and makeup 50s style and then joined close to 300 other hopeful actors at Humes Middle School. Although neither Zach nor I were called to read for anything that day, both Heather and Edna got a chance to show their talents in front of the casting directors, and Edna even got a callback for a major part the next day! We're keeping our fingers crossed that she books the role, and are looking forward to being a part of this awesome show here in Memphis.
Zach and I have also been working on Rachel Hinson's short film "469 Days." With John Dylan Atkins on set, filming has been non-stop laughter and fun. We are wrapped until April, when filming will pick back up and we'll finish this delightful story of matchmaking, meddling, trust, and love.
This weekend I'll be traveling to Atlanta to audition for a leading role in a short independent film. Can't say too much about it, but I'm excited and nervous, and can't wait to visit Atlanta for the first time!
Besides that, there have been some auditions and submissions here and there for various film projects, so we'll see if anything else comes my way!
